Visualizer (VIS) provides a new mechanism to view and interact with a multi-image dataset. A typical image data set would be a series of optical sections through a specimen. VIS can reconstruct and render the data for interactive 3D viewing, as an intuitive extension of the Data. VIS renders images using optimized software and hardware acceleration. |

Volume projection-hardware selection in the viewer requires a video card
which supports OpenGL extensions. For best performance, ATI Radeon
9600 series or higher should be used for effective 3D visualization.
